Between restrictions and creativity
Most people face troubles with the restrictions in our country as they refuse and fashionable ideas as they consider them against Islam. They always raise the name of Islam as a law to prevent anyone from adding new theories, inventions, and any means of changing and development. Personally, I faced such these troubles when I returned back from France. As I enjoyed freedom in creativity and self- development there. Then I crashed here with old- fashion authorities and their decisions to prevent and inhibit any mind against them. They attacked me under the name of Allah desires and Islam rules. What a big symbol they raise? What a weird life we live? Our primary scientists were Muslims and Arab; they invented all new tools and machines. They also put most of theories that we still followed until now. Such, Alhassan Ibn El Haithem who put the laws of light reflection and refraction. Also, he was the first one invented the camera. Ibn Al Razy who discovered the circulatory system mechanism .So, how we refused change now as we started it before all people did. When I tried to use songs in teaching, most of my colleagues and supervisors refuse it completely. As how we distract students by singing and taking them away of their way to Allah and religion. They consider this methodology as a foreign idea to their structure and culture. It will make ups and downs. It was as a challenge for me to prove that what I learned abroad not against my religion. I am a good Muslim, I follow Islam rules, and I love Allah. There’s no contrast between being a creative person and a good Muslim. Although most Arab countries gain a high level and standard of development and progress, they still refuse change in life style and education methodology. They still use the word “foreign” for anything new or modern. They still raise the flag of Islam against any theory not matches their beliefs and views. We still need to fight for our technology and modifications.
